WE ARE A LIVING
WAGE EMPLOYER

Get to Know Us

The best way to get to know us is to come and meet us. But if you want to get a little bit of a head start on the conversation, this is us:

We are a part of Yukon Spaces, that means we are employee owned and operated! Yukon Spa started life as an idea, spawned from requests from guests for massage and facials during their stay. We took the idea and ran with it.

WE ARE A NON-TIP/
GRATUITY BUSINESS

In April 2021 Yukon Spa came to life as a way to solve problems and fill gaps in the provision of health care services and wellness services that were either missing from town or without sufficient resource to meet needs.

From its humble home in a coverted hotel room, we provided Raynor naturopathic massage treatments and a wide range of advanced medical aesthetics procedures. We brought the first laser therapies to Dawson City, the first fat reduction therapies and we continue to work towards bringing more firsts to Dawson City. Including the first day spa with facilities like a hot tub, sauna and more. The first clinical care centre with services like intravenous infusion therapy for support of complex condition, advanced nursing foot care, insurance medical assessments and more.

We are a small team for now…

Jeff Catterall

Jeff Catterall

M.Sc., CRM, Head Chef & Risk Analyst

Professionally trained in the natural sciences and emergency and risk management, he’s always had an interest in cooking in his free time. With a severe peanut allergy, the idea of missing out on food due to a fear of cross contamination was not something he took lightly, and instead channeled that energy into learning to cook different cuisines, albeit with sometimes modified ingredients. Cooking plant-based meals for the restaurant always adds some new challenges, but he enjoys the challenge of showing guests how good plants can taste.

When not in the kitchen, he puts his policy hat on and leads risk management activities for Yukon Spaces and its associated subsidiaries.
